The Chosen Child makes personalized Bible storybooks where your child stands beside the hero of a real Bible story, and every story points to Jesus. To do that, we need a few details from you. This policy explains what we collect, why, who helps us, and how you can have it deleted.
The short version. Your child's photo is used only to make your family's preview and book. We never sell it. We never show it publicly or use it in marketing without your separate written permission. Email hello@thechosenchild.com any time and we will delete it.
1. Who We Are
This website, thechosenchild.com, is run by The Chosen Child, referred to here as "The Chosen Child," "we," or "us." You can reach us at hello@thechosenchild.com.
2. Children's Photos
Today, this website does not ask for or collect photos. When the story builder opens, a parent will provide one photo of their child so we can place the child in the story. When that happens, these promises apply:
- One purpose only. The photo is used only to make that family's preview pages and, if they order, their book.
- Never sold. We do not sell, rent, or trade your child's photo or the pages made from it.
- Never public without permission. We will not show your child's photo or book publicly, or use it in marketing, unless you give us separate written permission first. Saying no changes nothing about your order.
- Deleted on request. Email hello@thechosenchild.com from the address you used and ask us to delete your child's photo. We will delete it and write back to confirm.
Only send a photo you have the right to share, such as a photo of your own child that you took or that you have permission to use.
If any outside service ever helps us turn a photo into illustrations, we will name it in this policy before ordering opens.
3. What We Collect
When You Send Us a Note
The contact form sends us your name, your email address, the topic you choose, and your message.
When You Reserve a Book
The Start Their Book form sends us the story you choose, your child's first name, the occasion, and your email address. It does not ask for a photo, a last name, an address, or payment.
When You Order a Book
Ordering is not open yet. When it opens, we will need what it takes to make and deliver the book: your child's photo, the shipping name and address, and your email address. Payment is taken only when you order the full book.

When You Visit the Site
Like every website, our hosting server receives basic technical details when a page loads, such as your IP address, browser type, and the page requested. Our fonts are loaded from Google, which also receives your IP address and browser details when a page loads (see section 5).
4. How We Use It
- To answer your note or question.
- To write to you when the story builder opens, if you reserved a book. Nothing else, and no account needed.
- To make your preview pages and, if you order, your book.
- To print and ship your book and to answer questions about your order.
- To keep the site working and to block spam.
We do not sell your information, and we do not share it with advertisers.
7. Children's Privacy
This website and our service are for parents and other adults. They are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from children. A child's first name and photo come to us from a parent or other adult, for the purpose of making that child's book.
A parent can ask to see, correct, or delete anything we hold about their child by emailing hello@thechosenchild.com. If we learn that a child under 13 has sent us information directly, we will delete it.
8. Keeping and Deleting
We keep information only as long as we need it for the reasons above. You can ask us to delete your information, or your child's photo, at any time by emailing hello@thechosenchild.com.
We keep photos, previews, and book files only as long as we need them to make and support your book, and we delete them sooner whenever you ask.
9. Your Choices
- Ask what information we hold about you or your child.
- Ask us to correct it.
- Ask us to delete it, including your child's photo.
- Ask us to stop emailing you.

10. Security
We take reasonable steps to protect what you share with us, and we limit it to the people and services who need it. No website or email system is perfectly secure, so please send only what the form asks for.
11. Changes to This Policy
If we change this policy, we will post the new version on this page and update the effective date at the top. If a change affects how we use children's photos, we will tell families who have sent one before it takes effect.
